WELCOME
Welcome to the website of Corstorphine Community Church! We are a family of people based in the Corstorphine part of Edinburgh. We welcome people of all faiths and none- whether you’re from Corstorphine or Hong Kong, an atheist or a lifelong follower of Jesus you are welcome here! We are a member of the United Free Church of Scotland and have been a community of worship in Corstorphine since 1929.
We are a church made up of people who are native Scots and many who have recently arrived from Hong Kong. Our church gathers 11:00 am on a Sunday. We have an English and Chinese bilingual language service each Sunday.
Our building is located at the end of a peaceful cul-de-sac right at the heart of the village of Corstorphine. Our address is 7 Glebe Terrace, Corstorphine, EH12 7SQ.
If you are looking for a place of welcome, a place of peace and to discover God and the teaching of Jesus Christ, you will find it here! We hope you will drop in and join us at either of our services.
WHAT WE DO
Sunday Service
Our church family gathers every Sunday morning from 11:00 am for a Christian service that lasts approximately 90 minutes. During this time, we come together to sing hymns and songs, engage in prayer, and listen to a reading from the Bible. Our pastor, Duncan Whitty, delivers an inspiring message aimed at guiding us along the path of Jesus. The service is conducted in both Cantonese and English, making it accessible to everyone, including those from Scotland and all nationalities! We enjoy praising through song, reflecting on biblical teachings, and sharing a cup of coffee and conversation before the service begins. Our atmosphere is friendly and relaxed: there’s no need to dress up! For first-time visitors, we hope your experience with us will be uplifting and positive as we embark together on a journey into Christ’s love.
Hall Hire
If you would like to hire either of our two halls or our meeting room, please send a message using the contact form on the website. A kitchen plus male and female toilets are included in the cost. Hiring either hall costs £15 per hour or £85 per day. The cost of hiring the meeting room is £5 per hour.
**Please note, we don't normally hire out the halls for one off bookings like birthday parties.
Healing Room
Free prayer for healing by trained Christian volunteers. For anyone who has any kind of physical, emotional, or spiritual illness or condition. Open from 4 to 6pm on the first and third Sunday of every month.
